In commemoration of World Refugee Day, 20th June of every year, AAT proudly presents “Journey into the Unknown,” a 4-minutes VDO animation that will walk everyone through a refugee’s journey and to learn about who refugees are and what it looks like by being a refugee.
‘Journey into the Unknown’ is a coloring book produced by Asylum Access Thailand (AAT) and CHAMALiiN as part of Asylum Access Thailand’s Community Outreach Program. J is a current member of CHAMALiiN’s handicraft project. She is now living with her older brother and younger sister in Bangkok. Her parents and younger brother have been detained in an immigration detention center (IDC). She has not been able to contact or visit her family members in the IDC since the spread of COVID-19. Asylum Access Thailand (AAT) is advocating for alternatives to detention, the implementation of the National Screening Mechanism (NSM), and expansion of community legal empowerment and livelihood programs.
